Deciphering CMS’ Release 76 and Proposed Rule on AMP

Recorded Webcast - Presented Thursday January 25, 2007

In December 2006, CMS released guidance to the pharmaceutical industry on how to comply with the new monthly reporting and price calculation requirements of the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA), effective January 1, 2007, and a proposed rule that will significantly change the methodology for calculating AMP and Best Price under the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program and the areas in which CMS is seeking comments. This presentation will address the guidance in Release 76, including the new Drug Data Reporting system, and the proposed regulatory changes to the AMP and BP calculation procedures, the content and timing of CMS submissions, areas still in need of clarification, and the potential impact on contracting and discounting strategies.

Find out how to address changes that will impact:

» New Monthly Price Reporting Requirements
» Inclusions and Exclusions in AMP and BP
» Reporting New DRA Baseline
» Treatment of Lagged Discounts
» Inclusion of Authorized Generics in Branded Reporting Requirements
» Exclusion and Reporting of Prompt Payment Discount
» State Rebate Claims for Physician-Administered Drugs
